The boat was parked at ONE° 15 Marina Club next to Sentosa Cove. When we arrived at about 2pm, it was drizzling and the sky was quite gloomy. Nonetheless, we set off for a quick tour to St John's and Sisters Islands.
After that, we anchored at a small cove in Lazarus Island for our mini beach BBQ. The weather was much better after we went on shore. The rain stopped, no hot sun, very cooling, nice.
We packed up and left Lazarus at about 6pm back to the marina. Dinner was at Keppel Club. All in all, a tiring and enjoyable day!
Photos are available HERE.
The marina looks very posh. Wouldn't mind having a boat myself. How much is one?
ReplyDeleteThe One Degree 15 Marina Club membership is currently SGD38,888.
ReplyDeleteAs for the boat, this one costs SGD300K brand new. They bought it for SGD200K used and it is being shared by 5 people, so each one paid SGD40K. The monthly charges for the marina to park the boat is around SGD300, and you have to be a member. Then there is the running cost like fuel and repairs (if any), which I don't know how much.
Of course there are also smaller boats which should cost less.
Like the photos from your Ixus. I'm thinking of getting a superzoom. Always liked Canon but I'm not sure whether to get the Canon S5 IS (12x), the Sony H7/H9 (15x)or the compact Panasonic Lumix (10x). Would like the EOS 400D but still v pricey. Normally would go to the shop to test them out but am going to ask my sis to buy it for me as she is coming to the UK in 4 weeks. Any advice?
ReplyDeleteHaving tried the Canon 850IS, Ricoh R3 and Olympus C-750 Superzoom, I think the Canon produces the best photos. Olympus is also good considering it was my first camera. Pictures are almost comparable to the Canon even though they are about 3 years apart. Ricoh was a bit grainy at high ISOs but the Caplio R series takes superb macros. Check out the link to Food@RecentRunes on my main page.
ReplyDeleteSo far no real experience with Sony or Panasonic. But there are some comments that Panasonic is good but also grainy at higher ISOs.
