Blog Wars

She names him as one of the Top Seven Most Disgusting Bloggers (In the Singapore blogosphere).

He posts a video and calls her a "big chicken pie".

We get entertained ...

Technically, the Yellow Underwear Man doesn't really have a blog, just a website. The World's Most Handsome Actor also has a collection of videos ... judge for yourself.

Ming Zhen Restaurant

It was FIL's birthday week and we decided to celebrate it for him at a Teochew restaurant over at OCBC Centre (Level 5).

This is the second time we've been here and food is still good. we had reservations but there wasn't too much of a crowd even though it was a weekend.

Didn't get to tuck in to their signature Cold Duck Salad and thick Fish Maw soup this time as we tried a different menu. Recommended place if you like Chinese food.

Losing Focus

Man, I can't believe its been almost a month since my last post! Perhaps life is getting boring and there's nothing interesting since the boat trip, or perhaps I've been too busy. Think maybe its a combination of both.

For the past month, all I can remember was work. Sad isn't it. Seem to be losing focus too. Being a jack of all trades may not be that great after all. Yes, you get to do different things, sometimes there are too many different things at once and you lose focus, result is you try to complete everything but sacrifice quality.

For example in a single day, one moment you can be doing a technical proposal, next moment a project report, then debugging C++ code, then looking at financials for a tender submission, then helping/advising colleagues, then going for an internal meeting, then after you finish all that and go home at 8pm, you receive a call from another customer at midnight requiring you to go down to their site immediately to fix a system problem ... is that supposed to be normal??!

Luckily, not everyday is like that.

Another interesting thing was that yesterday, I was asked in the morning if I was available to fly to somewhere in the Middle-East that same evening. Talk about last minute! Those who were supposed to go had family (i.e. kids) commitments. Unfortunately, I don't have such an excuse. But I would have gladly gone if there wasn't so much stuff I had to complete/prepare. Maybe I should have gone and left everything else to "fate", things will sometimes sort themselves out, somehow...

Anyway, my good colleague took over and he is probably there by now. I guess you can expect some Mid-Eastern foodie entry in his blog soon. :-)

Oh yes, and I also promise to write more often. Time to get ready to go to the office ...
