Flowers and French Food
Bought a hand bouquet for wifey for our Special Anniversary (yesterday). After that we had dinner at Vis-a-vis. We were the only ones in the restaurant for the first half hour and so the only waiter around became our personal butler. Service is good (10% service charge + 1% cess) and the food was nice but a tad expensive. Reminds me once again why we somehow can never appreciate fine dining.
Our Special Anniversary this year marks our 14th year together as a couple. We usually don't have any elaborate celebrations but its always good to have a "simple something" to remember. Anyway, here's to many more Anniversaries to come!

But yeah, VaV is a little too upmarket for a restaurant in Beauty World.
If you dine in a restaurant amongst many other restaurants, e.g. in shopping centres/orchard road, etc, it's so bland. So normal.
But if it's an upmarket restaurant tucked in a corner of an old street, isn't there more ambience? When you look out of the restaurant windows, maybe it doesn't even feel like being in SG. That's what i call true dining experience.
Ok this is my personal opinion.
